Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) to Standards for Stand-Alone Solar Products in Ethiopia: PVoC Brief

 

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) in Ethiopia has been implementing a conformity assessment programme to control the quality of imported Stand-Alone Solar (SAS) products. The SAS products that are imported into Ethiopia and covered under this programme require a Certificate of Conformity (COC). The Government of Ethiopia will appoint selected ‘PVoC Agents’ to conduct Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) assessments according to the required standards.

This document explains the process of acquiring the COC, and the range of options available.
